Homeschool students who participate in our program are able to take a wide variety of academic and elective classes.
1st-12th grade students have the option to enroll with Oxford Virtual Academy for funding of up to 4 classes per student, per semester and may also self-pay for classes. Young 5s and Kindergarten students have the option to enroll with OVA for full program funding or may self-pay.
High school elective classes are both academic and enrichment based.
Academic classes are rigorous, high quality, and designed to prepare the diligent student for college level course work. Some of our high school classes are year long, self-pay only classes as (due to core content) they do not qualify for OVA funding.
9th & 10th grade students are required to enroll in a minimum 4 RHG classes per student, per semester. 11th & 12th grade students are required to enroll in a minimum of 2 RHG classes per student, per semester.
Middle school elective classes are both academic and enrichment based.
Academic classes are designed to prepare students for high-quality high school classes, whether at RHG or elsewhere. These classes challenge students to grow not only in the subject area but also with "soft skills" that are essential to success in high school and beyond.
6th-8th grade students are required to enroll in a minimum of 4 RHG classes per student, per semester.
Upper elementary elective classes are both academic and enrichment based.
Our 3rd-5th grade elementary class rotation introduces students to many academic topics, helping them to find their areas of interest and preparing them for middle school level classes.
3rd-5th grade students are required to enroll in a minimum of 4 RHG classes per student, per semester.
Our early elementary classes are exploratory in nature and designed to engage & delight students. Parents are often surprised by how much their children have learned through a combination of hands on and extension activities.
1st-2nd grade students are required to enroll in a minimum of 4 RHG classes per student, per semester.
Our Young 5s and Kindergarten programs are a 6 class block (4 or 5 hours onsite) with a dedicated Kindergarten teacher along with age appropriate assignments to complete at home with a parent.
Space is limited in order to provide students with an optimal learning and social experience. Students must be fully toilet trained and 5 years old by December 1st for Young 5s and by September 1st for Kindergarten.
Optional funding for our Young 5s and Kindergarten programs is available through Oxford Virtual Academy.
